This beautiful lamp is a superb example of space-age lighting, made in Italy (in Murano) in the early 1970s. The technique of mouth-blown overlay glass (an inner layer of white milk glass/lattimo for reflection and light scattering, enveloped by a colored, glossy outer layer) is typical of the high-quality productions of the Murano region in the first half of the 1970s.
